My address to my world.
Kamande James
I know I can be where I wanna be,
If I work hard at it, I’ll be where I wanna be. Never give up on your dreams though valid.
I’d like to address issues affecting my world, my society, my climate, my family, my school, and my fellow children…
Never give up on your dreams!
Truth be told, parents should learn how to recognize there are more pathways to success since every child is unique in their passions and strengths. It is natural for parents to have big dreams for their children. The norm that they can only be successful in the future if they excel academically is deeply in most parents’ minds. Comparing children with others, forcing them to fit in a certain mold, results tend to be detrimental. Till we all embrace the wider scope of success, as a nation, society, and amongst us, then we can be capable and willing to equip them to chase their dreams whatever they may be. To my world, how can we help them chase their dreams?
We all should encourage them to pursue their interests no matter how unrealistic they may seem. Hidden talents and abilities which we were unaware of can be discovered by observing them during playtime. Get to know more about their aspirations by engaging them in meaningful conversations, and not the normal “What do you wanna be when you grow up”. In conclusion, to my world, we as children already see ourselves with wings, just looking for permission to fly!.

Already got wings, permission granted!
