Suffocating.

Here I come again, the tiny voice of the pencil, to the dearest citizens of a precious land. So simple are my words and more lucid is the vomit of my pencil. Soonest it will be 2023 and if possible your action could speak in your favor or against….but before then I will love you to have a very clear view of my message, of this precious land. She was once great, at her emancipation, she lead her path along with her ancestors, for humanity, she was well created with a full glass of juice but then it was all a story and now a hope of our dearest tomorrow, of a precious land. So what happened? where are we now? Is this atmosphere still serving humanity? Oh, where are the visions? the great words of the fallen heroes? the promises of our dearest land? these are my questions, but all disappear in the air. Our right to good life being deprived and our movement restricted, our voices are muted and our bodies dehydrating…but do you know what, they said we are led by the devil’s progenies, who came to seek our consent when we are being blindfolded, making their riches in our torment and in the bloody swear of ours they make their silly comfort…

Adeoye Hassan

In recent times, we have been fighting more than global pandemics as a result of silly comfort. Civil unrest, natural disasters, and even public health threats. From leaders consistently failing to look out for the pitfalls, sabotaging their work plunging their respective countries into both economic and governance failures. All these tend to create impressions that we are incapable of finding solutions to the problems affecting us. And this is not exactly the case. Inaction and indecisiveness are of immediate concern making us always look up to superior beings from elsewhere to rescue our situations. Suffering from afflictions of dishonest leadership, silly comfort, self-interests of our leadership, and not lack of resources and opportunities. Economic mismanagement, corruption, and high cost of living are our daily portion. Corrupt systems afflicting us from one generation to another all in endless perpetuity. All efforts of many unsung and unknown heroes of our struggle have disappeared in thin air. It’s our homeland, we are one, and together we will overcome.
