Artist Statement.

Gregarious and lively in temperament and style, Silas’s deeply expressive and signature style also derives from his love of humanity. Studying human interaction, dreaming, and color lends a strong visual and emotional texture to his work, and one that is also personal. The artist enjoys using mixed media forms and bold graphic patterns in his work which he creates when he combines charcoal, acrylics, pastels, acrylic markers, and other materials. All of these are materials enhanced and further inspired by what is available in his environment which he uses to express himself.

Silas Abrifor uses his art to depict his understanding of world problems, he also uses his art to highlight his love for body forms and movement. He loves imaginative paintings a lot as it enables him to create unique work of art without restrictions. The gifted young artist is prolific in his understanding of life and world problems. His works seek to awaken the subconscious minds to think positively and beyond what we are being taught.

Artist Biography.

Silas Abrifor is a Nigerian-born painter, visual artist, and digital/NFT creator-based artist born in the year 1997 in the delta state. He graduated from Delta state university with a bachelor’s in art degree where he majored in painting. The gifted multi-media artist is based in Lagos. Silas Abrifor is an exciting and imaginative voice in painting and digital art genres, but also for his generation. When starting, Silas experimented with various mediums in the fine and visual arts. Including non-traditional disciplines like graphic art and novels, and comic book drawing. This area of interest honed his drawing skills and enhanced the artist’s personal style across genres. Silas has participated in a few groups shows including the Universal studio of arts and Delta state university departmental exhibitions.
