The day I left.
Littles me saying goodbye,
On my way to the real world,
Hoping that at the end of the day
We will be together again,
For it was a general rule.
Their hands speak a million words,
Their smile holds several secrets,
This yard holds many footsteps,
Both my good and bad to secure.
Seeing them wave at me,
Remember the jokes we told,
Painting each day differently,
Leaving them makes me frown.
It’s rocket science to say farewell,
It’s a bit hard but it is to tell,
In a parting moment, regretful apart from thee,
Wandering at a new pace,
A little trust that I will reside in wonderland.
