In the shadow of my dreams.
Dreary season, the dark day is all I got
I’m weary of sorrow and sinning
I’m a drunk-on simplicity.
Determined to create something new
Still, I greet the morning with a remnant of a painful past
Mundane wonders that I choose to call miracles.
Falling hard on the scenic route
The wind wrestles with my face
Bleed my words like holy salvation.
Touched but not softly by my dreams
Broken not held trying to find a roadmap
Storm chasing glorious sunlight.
Misunderstood, unpopular, crazy girl I am
The choice I made to march my drum’s beat,
I’m full of wild passion that will grace my body.
Hold back my tears, face my fears
Travel the world from sea to see a message of hope,
Reading that book of hope in a time of fear.
