Looking glass.
As powerful as we may appear to be as individuals, some things play a very vital role to ease our day-to-day existence. If taken away from us for a brief moment, we become extremely limited and vulnerable. My grandmama (bless her soul), had her ‘Looking Glasses’ almost before my father was born lol!. That tells you if this glasses was a mammal, it had been expecting great-grandchildren at this time. I called it ‘the eyes of many colors’, this was because her glasses were so old and faded that they started developing their own colors. So much that the lenses had cracks on them like you will see on an old car’s windshield from rock chips. Sometimes she will wear her glasses and still hold a magnifying glass to find things in the house 😂!. Life is beautiful!, Record shows that about 75% of the world’s adult population use some sort of vision correction and about 64% of them wear eyeglasses. What’s most important is…we should learn to recognize and appreciate the little things that make our journeys a little less chaotic.

‘Limited and vulnerable.’ In our day-to-day life, we must realize and appreciate the little things because, in the end, some don’t last forever. Taking time to enjoy the little things since one day we will look back and realize they were really big things. Whether family, friends, or loved ones, take time to appreciate them, don’t be afraid to show that you love them and when they need you, always be there for them. The little things tend to make us who we are, making our lives ours. They make our lives magical, more interesting, exciting, and full. With smiles, gifts, surprises, and beautiful sights, appreciating them, we find contentment and fill out our respective lives. Although limited and vulnerable we might be, accepting the moment for what it is, whatever life might throw at us, through our looking glasses, we are confident that we can handle and enjoy it.
