Artist Statement.

Jayeola Joshua’s works were inspired by his past, present, and presume future. As a figurative painter, expressionist, surrealist and conceptual artist. He tends to document our social lifestyle and custom, as well as our cultural values and self-identity. Jayeola Joshua makes use of various mediums such as acrylic, oil, and charcoal on canvas. the use of curved lines in his works depicts comfort, ease, and the state of mind of an individual how we can blend in and out in all occurrences. The curved line also reminds us of the human body and movement and also implied “his difference” which he wants the viewer to be able to relate vividly with the uniqueness he is exploring.
