Artist Statement.
Art for me is a growth process and a multidimensional wrapped gift that I continue to unveil at every stage of my creative journey. The clarity I get at every phase greatly influences every creative birthing. In a bid to consistently unbox many hidden potentials of my creativity. I choose to grow and give full expression without restraint through every possible means and medium unique to me. My artistic creation extends beyond creating a casual venture or a professional pursuit. Rather, my works are positioned to connect and impact every heart with a timely message.
To find answers to personal questions, to document, and address events. Thereby creating a visual archive of great accomplishments and happenings of the present age for posterity. Folarin Temitayo Adekunle’s passion for portraiture and exploring figures from the lens of his perception has a great influence on the components of his work. Exploring lines with conscious and unconscious strokes are major drivers of every other element within the space of my work.
Artist Biography.
Folarin Temitayo Adekunle is a driven artist who experiments with several mediums and works deliberately for effect. He graduated with a degree in painting from the University of Benin, in Benin City, in 2016. Since then, he has been honing his skills with special media and platforms in his studio to inspire and empower up-and-coming artists to build a more creative and innovative society. He founded Temmy Art Studio in Lagos, Nigeria, and has been working on several projects in the background of his studio practice. Folarin Temitayo Adekunle explored and experimented with a variety of media before discovering his distinctive painting technique with an improvised medium in 2019/2020 with limitless possibilities.

Inspiration of his works is by God, personal burdens, and reactions to events within his immediate environment.
