Artist Statement.

My art is my voice; it stands as an awakening to society. I try to capture the essence of life with time and how it relates to human relationships. My goal is to raise conversations on important issues affecting our present-day society through my works of art and make a positive change in the world.

Artist Biography.

Esinulo Chiamaka Praise is a contemporary Nigerian Artist who lives and works in Owerri, Imo state. As a child, Esinulo Chiamaka Praise exhibited signs of artistic talent in drawing and painting. She graduated from the department of fine and applied art. Imo state university, Owerri. Her painting “Power tussel” was used as the cover page of Mbari Magazine Issue VI in 2020.  Esinulo Chiamaka Praise has featured in numerous group exhibitions. Her recent group exhibition includes ” Confirmation” on 13th -14th December 2022 at Alliance France, Enugu. “Patterned perspectives” another group show in Muzeo Museum and cultural center Anaheim California, United States of America.

Esinulo Chiamaka Praise’s inspiration is by how human existence compliments time; this she depicts through her style. Her works try to define the essence of life with figurative expressions. By exploring complimentary and harmonious colors to create mood in her works. By fusing the African heritage and its cultural diversities into her works through the use of patterns on the costume of her subjects.
