Artist Statement.
Elie Hatungimana focuses on the transformation of ordinary and abstract spaces into an impressionable world that can be transformed into something meaningful. Art for him is an extension of self. A picture is more than just art. To Elie, fine art is not simply making beautiful things. This simple but powerful tool can be applied to all walks of life or any situation.
Artist Biography.
Elie Hatungimana is a visual multi-disciplinary artist born in 1998, raised, and works in Rwanda. He studied and graduated in graphic arts at the Nyundo school of arts. His paintings depict contemporary socialism and narrative art story engaged with them related to daily life stories.
