Hustle. (Series)
The inspiration behind the hustle series is through how we see people working hard just to survive the day. This series explains different hustles including ‘farmers’ and the real hustlers of Nairobi. ‘The Handcart pushed by man’, these guy’s you will always see with very heavy loads but they still manage to get their work done. ‘Mama Soda’s kiosk’ when you need to quench your thirst after a long day of working under the sun. ‘Fisherman’ goes to the lake every evening to catch something to sell and also feed his family. ‘Construction site workers’ work under the scorching sun every day doing extremely tedious work just to find something small to take back home. ‘Bread delivery guys’ who wake up every early morning to make sure our children never go to school without eating bread for breakfast. This series inspires me to work hard as I’ve seen my parents working extra hard just to provide for us. Inspiration for me is from the normal things going on around me and also some that I even go through.

‘Daily bread.’ To the daily hustlers, them being our parents, relatives, friends, or even loved ones. We all can attest that they all go the extra mile to provide for their respective homesteads. The hustle is real, to some extent, even mothers can’t afford to sit at home and do nothing even if they have babies to tend to, they carry them along. Through all the hurdles, financial, and economic with no clear sight of how it will end, leaping in faith to continue despite all, they all surf through it all. Every drop of sweat is accounted for, and nothing goes to waste, so they can provide for their families. To those not privileged enough, this tends to be their daily bread. The price to be paid just to sustain oneself and loved ones, boldly follow your dreams and live your life gives us the reason to believe that despite all, it shall be well.
