Brothers don’t necessarily have to say anything to each other — they can sit in a room and be together and just be completely comfortable with each other.
Brothers can’t be related only by blood but can also be an association, an alliance of people who are linked by a common religion or interest. A lifelong relationship with those who you call brothers, something that can’t be walked away from. When one is going through a difficult situation in time, we need someone by our side to make it through. Brotherhood exists to remind men it’s okay to break down, feel weak, have bad days. Since often they are seen to be strong and stoic figures. A healthy brotherhood entails loyalty, dependability, a sense of sacrifice, to honesty. Why should men need brotherhood? They learn through bonding with other men, heal from depression, and they often need brotherhood to become better men. In a world that is increasingly becoming aware of voicing men’s mental health, the best insights into the world of male feelings are offered in brotherhoods.
