Artist Statement.

Amusan Joshua works with pencil, and charcoal pencils, depicting his people in minute details. Focusing on portraits, still-life, and figures. The Nigerian-born artist has a knack for communicating singular perceptions as though they were universal truths.

Artist Biography.

Amusan Joshua is a sublimely gifted artist with great creative acumen. An indigene of Ogbomoso. He hails and was raised in Oyo State, Nigeria. He has passion and has been practicing arts since is very tender age. Amusan Joshua had his Nursery and Primary School (2008) and Secondary School at Gomal Baptist College, Ogbomoso (2014) respectively. Joshua went further to acquire his Nigeria Certificate in Education at Emmanuel Alayande College of Education, Oyo, Oyo state (2017). Then proceeded to Adeyemi College of Education, Ondo affiliated with OAU for his bachelor’s degree in fine and applied Arts. Where he specialized in Computer graphics, (2019 – till date). Joshua’s most recent exhibition was Life In My City Art Festival, Enugu State (LIMCAF 2022).
